Atomic Absorption vs Atomic (Optical) Emission Spectroscopy

Atomic spectroscopy is used to determine the elemental composition of a sample. Atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS) and atomic emission spectroscopy (AES) (also referred to as optical emission spectroscopy (OES)) techniques are suitable for numerous applications. They are often used in food safety, petrochemical, environmental, pharmaceutical, and geochemical applications.
